Making a return is the wonderful Amy Brenner with her creative pottery designs. Nubi soap will be at the market for the last time this season. If you haven’t had chance to try their handmade soaps – you are missing out!

A change in season

27 Sep

We have three more markets left with the season ending on October 12 so whatever you do this weekend make sure you start your Saturday with a trip to your favorite Farmer’s market. Our Farmers are busy harvesting the heavy crops – the hard shelled winter squashes, potatoes, onions and root veggies. As always there will be meat, cheese, bread and pickles to round out for farmer’s market tote bag.

Perry Hill Farm return with a selection of their handmade herbal soaps.

Members of Arteast Dutchess will be on hand with their own unique artworks available for sale. Take a few minutes to chat with the artists and learn more about their upcoming Open Studio Weekends on October 19-20 and 26-27.

Unfortunately Dykeman Farm will not be at the market for the rest of the season, they are busy with their pumpkin patch weekends, but their farm stand is open until October 31.

Local band Space Dog will be rocking the band stand today – be sure to stop by and check out their energizing mix of great music.

Harlem Valley Homestead, based in Wingdale, has fast become a mainstay of the market and the greater community, with its emphasis on connecting folks to the land through darn good food and earth-based farm projects. Each week they bring to the market their flavorful herbs and vegetables, and pork! Those happy Berkshire pigs are raised in woodlot, fed organic grain and abundant farm veggies. No wonder they taste so luscious!
