Happy Labor Day!

It’s going to be a busy day at the market this Saturday. Our vendors will be lining up to showcase their latest offerings of the season, we have a great line up of guest artisans and to top it off Pawling’s very own Red Rooster will be playing at the bandstand!

  • ArtEast Dutchess: Lonna Kelly will be recording an interview with Bill Prickett for her Hudson Valley Art Speak series
  • Harvest Spirits: Where the lucky apples go to be immortally preserved! If you haven’t sampled their vodka, applejack or brandy yet then you are in for a treat this weekend.
  • The Slab: Kathleen Heidemann’s ceramic designs are based on animal forms and are full of humor and whimsy, you can’t help but want to pick one up!
  • Garden Greetings: Amy Farrell originally designed her wonderful hand printed vegetable note cards so she could participate in the Pawling Farmer’s Market, we are excited to have her back this weekend.

The sun is set to make a return to the market this Saturday! Along with our wonderful vendors, we have a great line up of guest artisans:

  • Daffodil Press author Carol Paterno and illustrator Doris Tomaselli will be on hand to give readings of two of their wonderful books, Slippery Soap and Swan Pond.
  • Harvest Spirits will have a great selection of their craft spirits for you to sample and buy.
  • Living Edge Designs will be showcasing their unique “live edge” cutting and serving boards made out of a variety of local hardwoods.
  • Music will be provided by Chick’s Candy Store.

Come rain or shine our wonderful vendors and artisans will be showcasing their latest produce and products. Here’s this Saturday’s line up:

  • Bring your blunt knives and garden tools for on the spot sharpening with Nick the Knife!
  • Emergent Jewel will be selling their handcrafted jewelry
  • Lori Adams will be showcasing her photographs, note cards and books
  • Jeanne Plekon will be exhibiting her wonderful paintings
  • Doug Mahard will provide music at the bandstand

The Farm to Table early bird ticket price ends this Saturday so remember to bring your checkbook or cash and head over to the Book Cove!

Stop by the market this week and check out our wonderful artisan vendors – Lilymoore Alpaca Farm, The Slab pottery, and Vintage Terrarium.

The Oblong Trail Association will also be on hand to talk about the work they do to develop and maintain trails for equestrian and hiking. Come visit their booth and see how to get involved or support their efforts!

Taking the Gazebo this Saturday is Goodbye Blue, an Americana duo featuring Charlotte Kendrick and Dan Rowe.

Farm to Table Event – early bird tickets available until Saturday!

Show your support for the Pawling Farmer’s Market and join us for cocktails and hor d’oeuvres followed by dinner and music on Saturday August 25. Tickets are on sale at the Book Cove (cash or check) at a discounted rate of $150 until close of business Saturday August 11. On Sunday they increase to $175. See flyer for more details.

  • Jeanette Rodriguez will be showcasing her fine hand crafted glass pendants along with her wonderful alcohol Ink paintings
  • Art East Dutchess will have a booth where you can see a plein air painting demo and also hear about this year’s wonderful Milk Can Project
  • Daffodil Press will be holding children’s book readings at 9.30, 10.30 and 11.30
  • Married due The Sawtelles will be playing live at the Bandstand!

Prime produce season has arrived!

Prime produce season has arrived with a full rainbow of the freshest veggies in brilliant colors and juicy or crisp flavors. Who needs recipes when these beauties require nothing more than a little olive oil, fresh herbs, and salt and pepper.

Come to the market this Saturday and pick up a loaf of bread from Pawling Bread or Wave Hill, some luscious cheese from Chaseholm Creamery, a bunch of sunflowers from Wingnut Farm, and you’re set for simply delicious summer dining!
